The call for evidence on the independent review of early education and childcare qualifications was launched on 28 October and this will run until 23 December. Alongside this and as part of the evidence gathering process, Professor Cathy Nutbrown is planning to hold 4 one day consultation events over the autumn and early next year. Events will be taking place on Monday 5 December at the Thomas Coram Centre in London and on Monday 12 December at the University College in Birmingham. The dates and venue details for the events in the New Year will be confirmed over the next couple of weeks.
Professor Nutbrown is keen to use these events to hear the views of all those involved in the delivery of early education and childcare to inform her thinking on this important Review. She says ‘I want to create as many opportunities as possible for everyone who has an interest in the qualifications needed to work with our youngest children to get involved in my Review – the regional meetings and the online questionnaire are two key ways for people to give me their views.’
If you are interested and would like to attend either London or Birmingham event please email us giving your name, job title and the event you would like to attend by Monday 21 November.
Don’t forget you can access the consultation questions here.
