The DfE has released a letter from Elizabeth Truss, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Education and Childcare, to local authorities about early learning for 2 year olds.

The letter outlines the key role of local authorities in delivering the offer and communicating it to parents and sets out the support available from the Department.  From September around 130,000 two-year-olds across England will be able to access a funded early learning place and this is due to increase in 2014.

You can view the full letter, dated 8 July, on the gov.uk website, here.
